Rugby Cemetery

Rugby Cemetery is located on North Ridge Road, about one mile west of Mill Hollow Park. Contact the Township Superintendent of Labor, Joe Buchs, at (440) 670-1375 for cost, lot purchases, scheduling, or other services.

DRIVING OR PARKING ON THE GRASS OF THE CEMETERY IS PROHIBITED

Grave Sites

* Weekend & holiday rates will apply when burial service is on a weekend and or a holiday and the rate will also apply when the preparation for burial must be done on a weekend and or a holiday.
** Only standard grave markers are allowed!!
*** Sorry, no permanent plantings are permitted.

Headstones

Above ground headstones and monuments are permitted. Foundations for all headstones will be set by Township employees and a charge will be made. Only standard grave markers are allowed. Headstones are limited in length to 4′, width 14″, and height 36″ for a single lot.

Decorations

Decorations are permitted if placed within one foot of the headstone and in such a manner as to permit mowing and trimming. Spring clean-up is March 15th to March 30th. Fall clean-up is November 1st to November 15th. Any faded, wilted, or out of season flowers or anything else that the cemetery sexton deems to be inappropriate, will be removed from the grave sites. Examples of inappropriate items include, but not limited to, potential projectiles, borders and bricks.

General

Permanent planting of trees, shrubs, and flowers is not permitted.
All grave decorations are placed at the owners risk.
No glass containers are allowed.
Resale or transfer of lots are to be made only to Township Trustees.
Opening and closing of graves and cost of graves are to be paid in full prior to burial.
The cemetery is closed from dusk to dawn.
