Community Support from Trustees of Brownhelm Township

On behalf of the Brownhelm Township Board of Trustees, we are writing to make our position clear to our residents and the broader community: we are keenly aware that data centers are neither wanted nor welcome in our township.

As trustees, our primary goal and responsibility is to represent our constituents and the matters they express. We have listened closely to the concerns raised by our neighbors regarding the potential impact these facilities could have on our community’s resources, utility costs, property values, and our cherished rural character.

We want the residents of Brownhelm to know that we hear you. We are committed to protecting the lifestyle and environment that make our township home. To that end, we are proactively exploring every tool at our disposal--including potential new zoning regulations—to ensure that any future land use aligns with the vision our citizens have for their community.

We stand firmly with you in this effort. Your voices are the driving force behind our decisions, and we will continue to act as your representatives in ensuring Brownhelm remains the community you want it to be.
